The 6 steps

• Donor — type 2 chars · autocomplete shows lifetime giving
• Type — fields swap automatically · amber types hard-block receipt
• Amount & method — check # appears only for Check; bank last-4 only for ACH
• Designation — Campaign → Appeal → Fund
• Soft credits — auto-suggests from donor's defaults
• Save — receipt fires in < 60s

What happens on Post

Valid rows post immediately. Invalid rows split into a new exception batch (Arlington feedback) — you can't edit a posted batch.

Match confidence

• ≥ 95% high confidence — usually safe to auto-merge
• 85–94% needs human review (most common)
• 75–84% likely false positive — check carefully
• Every merge is reversible for 30 days

The merge flow

Side-by-side compare → field-level keep/replace → audit note required → save. The deleted record is preserved for reverse-merge.

The 6 compliance checks

• Donor name & address present
• Date of contribution shown
• Amount stated (or "shares only" for stock)
• "No goods or services" disclosure
• Legal-entity sender identity
• Authorized signature embedded

When all 6 pass, Atlas allows the send.
